Philip Stanton (Columbus, Ohio, USA, 1962) is an internationally renowned visual artist, painter, and illustrator. He has lived and worked in Barcelona since 1988, a city that has profoundly influenced his artistic language, characterized by the expressive use of color, contemporary figuration, and a direct and recognizable visual narrative.
Trained in Fine Arts ( Bachelor of Arts ) by Rollins College (Florida) and with a Master of Fine Arts in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York, Stanton has developed a diverse career encompassing painting, illustration, large-format urban projects, illustrated books, stage designs and visual campaigns.
He is the director of Stanton Studio, where he has carried out projects for cultural institutions, publishers, and international brands, as well as artistic interventions in public spaces. His work has been exhibited and published in numerous countries, establishing a readily identifiable personal style.
Alongside his artistic production, he is a professor of illustration at the EINA and BAU schools in Barcelona, where he has combined professional practice with teaching for more than two decades.
Philip Stanton's works reflect a playful and poetic view of everyday reality, inviting the viewer to connect emotionally with images that combine formal simplicity and conceptual depth.
